TRIO Stories: A brief history of the 2+1 arrangement.
“Hey everyone, we’re Sal & Bart from TRIO Stories” - if you’ve watched any of our YouTube videos, that phrase will be rather familiar. However, you may notice that the image above portrays 3 people - rather befitting the TRIO name. Sal & Bart… so who is the stranger in the middle!? Bart’s evil but taller twin? A clever photoshop trick? Hired model from Facebook Marketplace?
If you guessed any of the above, you’d be wrong. That is Kacper - Bart’s younger brother, our best friend and the most absent co-founder in history. Largely because Bart & I live together and Kacper is unfortunately not a conjoined-twin, we decided to run with the 2+1 concept. Whenever we are able, Bart Kacper and I will create together. However for the majority of the time, you’ll find Bart and I on our channel and socials, and Kacper back home in the UK manning the fort and doing things that Kacper’s do.
Content creation in our lives all began in 2013 with Kacper being interested in drones and action camera, Bart had been doing photography 4 years prior to that but whatever. Being the best sibiling and sibiling gf on the planet, we bought him the first ever DJI Phantom drone. This relic had no gimbal, no camera, no transmission feed… it was, let’s say, interesting. We went on a road trip back in 2014 and filmed some of our trip with a GoPro and said drone. And somewhere in the south of France, began our love for content creation.
In 2016 as we were finishing University and deciding our future lives, Bart and I became more committed to the craft. We purchased the GoPro 5, Canon 80D and the 24mm pancake lens. In November 2016 we decided to rebrand BWozniak Photography to TRIO Stories.
Our TRIO ventures first started with Bart & Kacper making small promotional videos for local businesses, and by summer 2017, Bart and I bagged our first and second international client - both jobs based on the prospect of travel, drinking and adventure. Our 21 year old selves could not believe what we’d managed to achieve. We were getting paid to sunbathe, drink and party on a yacht and go to international football matches with a rowdy group of lads. We’d made it.
