Bart grew up in Poland, moved to the UK at ten, and spent the next decade becoming fluent in three things: English, French, and the art of making questionable life decisions that somehow work out alright. Oh and bagging the girl of his dreams (Sal, the other TRIO Founder). He studied Law with French Law at the University of Exeter, made it all the way to the final two weeks of his fourth year, and then drove to London to watch a Harry Potter play instead of sitting his exam. Still got a 2:1. He's just built different.

The courtroom's loss was the camera's gain. He says, as he is typing his own bio, in the third person.

The Eye

As DoP, Bar operates in a world of cinematic drama, fantasy and deliberate exaggeration. His preferred visual language is bold, narrative-driven and lit like the universe owes him something. If a shot can be more dramatic, more immersive or more cinematic, he'll find a way. The most impressive credits have to be the back to back finals and a Category win at the Moment Invitational Film Festival in 2020 and 2021 with the Short Films - How to Survive a Pandemic and The Night Shift - shot entirely on mobile. Since then, Bart has DP’ed productions of all sizes for global powerhouses such as Ecoflow, Dreame, Roborock, Acer, Xiaomi, Amazfit. Having worked on full commercial productions, as well as social content - he's the versatile creative behind the camera in horizontal (as it should be) and vertical.

The Producer

If Sally-Ann is the creative brain, Bart is the man who makes the impossible reality. Military helicopter? Booked. Recreating James Bond in Matera? Done. Swimming with sharks off the coast of Cape Town while simultaneously filming a travel series for Xiaomi, and a product launch for Zhiyun meeting his filmmaking idol Sam Kolder and kayaking in search of whales? Also done, and somehow on schedule.

Tight budgets, impossible timelines and ideas that make muggles sweat are essentially his love language. He has read 2 books on assertiveness. He knows all the theories. He's working on the execution.

The Energy

Sal calls him a golden retriever and the rest of the team has not once disagreed. Bart is the person on set who can drag the crew back from the edge of despair with some infectious enthusiasm or an inappropriate comment that will one day get the man cancelled. It's a gift.

When he's not behind a camera, you'll find him on a football pitch a ski slope, or standing over a BBQ with the conviction of someone who has never once burned anything. Loves music, loves travel and has never met a party he didn't want to stay until the end of. He also shoots analogue, which he got into before it was cool, thank you very much.
